This window is erected to the Glory of God and in loving remembrance of my husband, James McMorland, died March 1881; of my son James A McMorland, died November 1893; of my daughter, Isabella R. McMorland, died 1864 and of my sister, Jane R. Alexander, died June 1895, by Janet Alexander McMorland.
Mrs. McMorland of Cathkin Villa, Pollokshields, was a daughter of William Alexander, Goldsmith & Jeweller, Buchanan Street, Glasgow. Mrs. McMorland’s husband died at Rothesay 23rd March, 1881. Her son died at 14, Walmer Crescent, Ibrox, 23rd November, 1893, aged 33 years. Her daughter seems to have died in infancy or childhood (no record). Her sister died at Cathkin Villa 20th June, 1895.
