Instructions for joining "Zoom" service on Sunday 26 July 2020
Online Sunday Reflection 26 July 2020This Sunday will be a little different to our usual uploaded reflection on YouTube. This Sunday 26 July I will be hosting live online worship on Zoom at 10:30am. The first part will consist of a short service with prayer, reading and a reflection. The second part will be an opportunity for those who want to, to catch up with a chat on Zoom. This service will be recorded (not the social part) and be made available on YouTube later the same day for those who want to access the service, but do not want to participate in the live online meeting. How to access this: Before Sunday contact Eddie by email: EEnslin@churchofscotland.org.uk to get the "Passcode" There are two main ways to access Zoom. The first is using an internet-connected Smartphone or Tablet. For this option you might need to install the Zoom app before the meeting and set up a free account using your email address and a password of your choice. The app can be found here by clicking on the link using your tablet or smartphone: Android Phones (Samsung / Huawei / LG etc.) : https://protect-eu.mimecast.com/s/_ez0CANLltNlQVXcGdrrH?domain=play.google.com Apple Phones: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/zoom-cloud-meetings/id546505307 The second option is using your Computer’s internet browser (Internet Explorer / Chrome / Safari). You will not necessarily need to set up an account to use this option, but you can if you wish. Do not try to join the meeting before Sunday 26 July 2020 from 10:25 onwards If you have the Zoom app on your smartphone or Tablet:
OR
If you are using your Computer Internet Browser (laptop or desktop): Click on the following link from your computer: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5943844998?pwd=V3lVdlBxNzJVc01pa2R2dFovMUQ3Zz09
You can unmute after the service for the social part of the service or simply select “LEAVE” at any point if you do not want to continue with the service / meeting. Please note that the meeting will be recorded (the service part – not the social part) to be uploaded to YouTube later for those who do not wish to participate in the live meeting, but would rather watch it on YouTube afterwards. I hope this will add positively to our experience of online worship during these challenging times, and also allow us to interact with each other. So on Sunday morning put on the kettle and make yourself some coffee or tea and join us at 10:30 for something different. If not, feel free to access the recording of this later on Sunday via our YouTube video. Best Wishes Eddie |
