Medallions etc surrounding the foregoing six lights to form the tracery:- Top centre: 5 circles and triangles forming a square East cone: 6 circles at top: "A" (Alpha) in circle; triangle West cone: 6 circles at top; "Ω" (Omega) in circle; triangle East triangle: 4 medallions, below which are 6 medallions, the centre one showing an angel with a scroll inscribed “Blessed are the merciful” Centre triangle: 4 medallions, below which are 6 medallions, the centre one inscribed “I • H • S” (These are the initial letters of 'Iesus Hominum Salvator' - Jesus the Saviour of men) West triangle:4 medallions, below which are 6 medallions, the centre one showing an angel with a scroll inscribed “Blessed are the pure in heart”
The gift of William Wilson of West Lodge and of his family to Pollokshields Parish Church, 1878.
William Wilson of Wilson & Matheson, Manufacturers, Merchants and General Warehousemen. He was a founder member and one of the original three trustees of the church. West Lodge was in Maxwell Drive. Mr Wilson died 1/4/1892.
