1. Sunday 15th December 2013 - Gift Service, Junior Church & Creche.

2. Church Music - Today's Introit is Adoro Te Devote by Peter Worlock.

The Offertory music is Meditation on Tantum Ergo by Liam Devlin.

The Recessional Voluntary is Prelude in G Minor by Bach.

3. Midweek Service - Our midweek service takes place on Wedensday 11th December at 9:45am.

4. Coffee Break - This follows our midweek service from 10:00am to 11:30am. On duty this week are; Elizabeth McKissock, David Hart, Helen Templeton, Maeve Kinloch and Janette Sneddon.

5. Gift Service - Our Gift Service is next Sunday and this year we wish to give figts for children to Daisy Chain, Govanhill, and Strater Packs, Gifts for ages 1-8 will expecially appreciated. Please do not wrap them but gift paper is also welcome. Thanks.

6. Advent Antiphons - Our Journey towards christmas reflection on Old Testaament themes about the coming Messiah concludes on Wednesday 11th December from 7:30 - 8:30pm. All welcome at the Kenmure (Session) Room in the church.

7. Carols by Candlelight - This takes place on Wednesday 18th December at Sherbrooke St Gilbert's Church at 7:00pm and is a Pollokshields Church Together event. All welcome.

8. Christmas Tree - the Christmas Tree will be decorated on Wednesday 11th December at 6:30pm.

9. Pastoral Care - Rev David Black is usually at the Church on Wednesday morning for the Midweek Service.

Other Notices

1. The Guild - The Guild meets tomorrow, Monday 9th December at 7:30pm for its Christmas Party.

2. Bookworms - We are continuing our exploration of modern-day writings and the next book on our list is Let the Great World Spin by Coum McCann, a New York Times best seller and 'a wow of a book, rich humane, brilliantly written and as deep as it is wide' (The Times). Bookworms do not meet in December and the date of the next meeting is Thursday 30th January at 2:00pm.

2. Christmas Craft Cafe - Pollokshields Community Centre is holding an afternoon of crafting activities on Wednesday 11th December from 1:00-3:00pm. Take part in a Christmas craft workshop, have a light lunch and meet new people. A pre-fives play area will be available on the day for families at the centre on 15 Kenmure Street.

3. Govanhill Food Bank - this Christmas, Govanhill Food Bank would like to give a selection box to each child in the families relying on the food bank. If anyone would like to donate one, it can be handed to Sadie Swan or Elva Carlisle by Sunday 15th December.Thanks.

4. The Way - The next meeting of the Way youth group is this evening, Sunday 8th December, and is a special craft night at 145 Sherbrooke Avenue.
