1. Sunday 9th October 2011 - 11:00am Morning Worship

2 Scottish Asian Fellowship– Please note that as it is the first Sunday of the month, the Scottish Asian Fellowship meets this afternoon at 3:30pm

3. Harvest Thanksgiving – There is a retirning collection this morning for ‘Out of Africa – Into Malta’, a project of St Andrew’s Church of Scotland, Malta, which will feature as part of our worship. Also, gifts of tea, coffee, sugar or othere Fairtrade produce for the Lodging House Mission would be most welcome. Thanks.

4. Midweek Service – Our midweek service takes place on Wednesday 5th October.  It is a short service from 9:45am – 10:00am.

5. Coffee Break – This takes place after the midweek service from 10:00am–11:30am.

On duty this week are Elva Carlisle, Anne Clark, Irene Macleod, Irene Ross and Chris Alexander. Coffee Break this week will host a ‘Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ in aid of cancer support. Please come along and bring a friend. Entry is by donation.

6. Christmas Cards – Church stained glass window Christmas cards are now available, costing £1.50. This is in aid of church finance.

7. Magazine Folders – Magazine folders are available from the green box in the hall. If you would like a copy of Life & Work, we have a few spare copies. Speak to Elizabeth McKissock.

8. Pastoral Care – Rev David Black is usually at the Church on Wednesday morning for the Midweek Service. Otherwise, please contact him on 423 4000 for all pastoral matters. Thanks

Other Notices

1. The Guild – The Guild meets tomorrow, Monday 3rd October at 7:30pm when Rev Jim Teasdale presents a talk on ‘Life in the Ministry thus far’. All welcome.

2. Kirk Session – The Kirk Session meets on Tuesday 4th October at 7:30pm. Elders please not that Session material is now available. Please uplift your envelope from the Side Chapel.

3. The Way –The Way youth group meets next Sunday 9th October, at the Fotheringay Centre, Fotheringay Road. Plenty for teenagers to do, including games, pizza, banter and Christian Discussion.

4. Come and Try – Ever wanted to join a choir but been a bit too scared to go along to one? No, this is not an ad for our church choir but for a ‘Come and Try’ evening with Hutchesons’ Choral society on Monday 3rd October at 7:30pm in the Fotheringay Centre. No obligation, just fun, laughter and new friends.

5. Charity Concert – A charity Christmas concert has been organised by Bishopbriggs Churches Together in the Royal Concert hall on 20th December at 7:30pm. Speak to Bill or Liz Izzard if you would like tickets. See also article in New Vision.
