1. Sunday 2nd October 2011 - 11:00am Harvest Thanksgiving Service

2 Harvest Thanksgiving– We invite you to bring a money offering (retiring collection) next week for ‘Out of Africa – into Malta’, a project of St Andrew’s Church of Scotland, Malta, which will feature as part of our worship. Also, gifts of tea, coffee, sugar or other Fairtrade produce for the Lodging house Mission would be most welcome. Thanks.

3. Congregational Lunch – A total of £350.80 was raised for Christian Aid at last week’s lunch. Thanks to all who contributed.

3. Midweek Service – Our midweek service takes place on Wednesday 28th September.  It is a short service from 9:45am – 10:00am.

4. Coffee Break – This takes place after the midweek service from 10:00am–11:30am.

On duty this week are Sadie Swan, Sylvia Pacitti, Esme Mackay, Ian Mackay and Mairi Fisher. Coffee Break on Wednesday 5th October will host a ‘Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee morning’. Please come along and support this worthy cause.

5. Church Magazines – church Magazines are available today. Please uplift your folders from the green boxes in the hall, if you do not get New Vision delivered; please uplift a copy from the vestibule or church hall door. Also, please note there are a few extra copies of Life and Work. If you would like a copy, please speak to Elizabeth McKissock.

6. How’s our Memory? – Think back to the 50s/60s/70s and tell us what colour the outside doors of the church were. Speak to any of the Elders, or the Welcome Team, if you can remember. Thanks

Other Notices

1. The Guild – No Guild meeting tomorrow, (local holiday). Last week’s coffee morning raised £260. Many thanks to all who contributed in any way.

2. Harvest Group – The group continues on Wednesday 28th September at 7:30pm in the Session Room – ‘gathering in all our thoughts and thinking’.

3. Finance Group –The Finance Group meets on Wednesday 28th September at 8:00pm

4. Come and Try – Ever wanted to join a choir but been a bit too scared to go along to one? No, this is not an ad for our church choir but for a ‘Come and Try’ evening with Hutchesons’ Choral society on Monday 3rd October at 7:30pm in the Fotheringay Centre. No obligation, just fun, laughter and new friends.

5. Charity Concert – A charity Christmas concert has been organised by Bishopbriggs Churches Together in the Royal Concert hall on 20th December at 7:30pm. Speak to Bill or Liz Izzard if you would like tickets. See also article in New Vision.

6. Welcome Teams Rota – The new rota which covers the period 23rd October 2011 to 29th April 2012, is now available for collection in the Side Chapel.
