1. Sunday 8th December 2013 - 11:00am Sacrament of Holy Communion, Junior Church & Creche

2. Scottish Asian Christian Fellowship - As it is the first Sunday of the Month, the Scottish Asian Christian Fellowship meets today in the church at 3:30pm.

3. Church Music - Today's Anthem is Be Thou My Vision (traditional German) with an arrangement by organist Liam Devlin.

The Offertory music is Nun komm den heiden heiland by Bach.

The Recessional Voluntary is Venez, divin Messie by Lebegue.

4. Midweek Service - Our midweek service takes place on Wednesday 4th December at 9:45am.

5. Coffee Break - This follows our midweek service from 10:00am to 11:30am. On duty this week are: Elva Carlisle, Anne Clark, Irene Macleod, Evelyn McFarlane and Chris Alexander.

6. Kirk Session - The Kirk Session meets on Tuesday 3rd December at 7:30pm and also before next week's Communion service at 10:30am.

7. Christmas Craft Cafe - Pollokshields Community Centre is holding an afternoon of crafting activities on Wednesday 11th December from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Take part in a Christmas craft workshop, have a light lunch and meet new people.

A pre-fives area will be available on the day for families, so why not head along to the centre at 15 Kenmure Street for some festive fun.

8. Pastoral Care - Rev David Black is usually at the church on Wednesday morning for the Midweek Service.

1. The Guild - The Guild meets tomorrow, Monday 2nd december, at 2:30pm for its Christmas Tea.

2. Advent Antiphons - our four-week journey towards Christmas reflection on Old Testament themes about the coming Messiah continues on Wednesday 4th December from 7:30pm - 8:30pm and runs through 11th and 18th December. Come to one or come to all in the Kenmure (Session) Room in the church.

3. Bookworms - We are continuing our eploration of modern-day writings and the next book on our list is Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann, a New York Times best seller and 'a vow of a book, rich humane, brilliantly written and as deep as its wide' (The Times). Bookworms do not meet in December and the date of the next meeting is Thursday 30th January at 2:00pm.

4. Govanhill Food Bank - This christmas, Govanhill FoodBank would like to give a selection box to each child in the families relying on the food bank. If anyone would llike to donate one, it can be handed in to Sadie Swan or Elva Carlisle by Sunday 15th December. Thanks.

5. The Way - The next Meeting of the Way youth group is next Sunday, 8th December,and it is a special craft night at 145 Sherbrooke Avenue.
